Objectives:
The objective of this qualification is to support a role in the workplace and is aimed at current or new staff who work in health and care settings (such as care homes, heath centres, surgeries and childcare settings) and give them underpinning knowledge of how to prevent and control the spread of infection.
Who should attend?
The course is developed to support those who works in care homes, health centres, surgeries, childcare facilities, and day centres, understand the principles of effective infection prevention and control.
This course covers topics significant to infection prevention and control (IPC) in health care facilities.
Trainees are expected to possess at least basic experience and competence in IPC. They could include IPC professionals, IPC hospital teams, facility administrators, hospital epidemiologists, microbiologists, and other relevant health care professionals."

Assessment:
This qualification can be assessed by a practical demonstration and written/oral questioning.
Certificate and Validity:
On successful completion of course, the participants will be awarded a Certificate in Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) according to Dubai Health Authority (DHA)
