FIRST AID TRAINING

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
This First aid course will familiarise candidates with their roles and responsibilities of the Emergency First Aider, including assessing an incident, recognising signs and symptoms of injury and illness, and assisting a casualty who is suffering from injury and illness.

Course Content

• The Role and Responsibilities of an Emergency First Aider
• Scene Survey and assess the incident
• Managing an Unresponsive Casualty
• CPR Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (adult)
• Choking
• Shock
• Heart Attack
• Bleeding (severe embedded object from orifices)
• Treatment of Seizures

Course duration
6 hours in total

Assessment

• Continuous assessment during the course.
• Assessment on practical abilities of dealing with casualties, candidates must show competence to apply learned skills prompt, safe and effective.

Certificate and Validity

• Emergency First Aid at Work from DCAS, Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC), valid for 3 years. For Trakhees, the course validity is 2 years.
• Wallet sized card included.
