Dangerous Goods Training GCAA Course Code : 4.1.L
Program Overview
The course is designed to guide you in the tasks and responsibilities to ensure that you are competent to perform your job function and be in full compliance with the regulations. It has been designed as per IATA's DGR - section 1.5 and in accordance with function 7.9 in IATA's 'Dangerous Goods Training Guidance'.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
- Identify and classify dangerous goods
- Interpret hazard communication
- Detect hidden dangerous goods in cargo and mail
- Accept passenger baggage and verify the requirements are met
- Apply Emergency Procedures
Target Audience
- Porters, Loaders, workers, drivers and equipment operator
Pre-requisites
- Recommended level is Entry-level and Intermediate
- The recommended level of language proficiency is ICAO Operational Level 4 or the equivalent

Delivery
- Classroom-based learning including lectures, exercises, case studies and final assessment
Exam
The participant is required to score at least 80% to pass the mastery test.
Certificate Awarded
The participant will be awarded with a IMMACULATE - IATA completion certificate upon successful completion of the course.
