Dangerous Goods Training GCAA Course Code : 4.1.C/IATA CBTA Function 7.2.A
Program Overview
The course is designed to l guide you in the tasks and responsibilities to ensure that you are competent to perform your job function and be in full compliance with the regulations. It has been designed as per IATA's DGR – section 1.5 and in accordance with function 7.2 in IATA's 'Dangerous Goods Training Guidance'.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
- Identify and classify dangerous goods;
- Interpret hazard communication;
- Detect hidden dangerous goods in cargo and mail;
- Check documentation and packages for indications of undeclared dangerous goods;
- Explain the basic Emergency Response procedures;
- Check Packaging and documentation for Hidden/Undeclared dangerous Goods;
- Collecting Safety Data;
Target Audience
- Freight forwarder staff involved in the handling, processing and accepting goods presented as general cargo
- Operator and ground handling agent staff involved in handling, processing and accepting goods presented as general cargo
- Airline and cargo training specialists
- Operations managers and frontline supervisors
Pre-requisites
- Recommended level is Entry-level and Intermediate
- The recommended level of language proficiency is ICAO Operational Level 4 or the equivalent

Delivery

Exam
